Silkraft began with a simple frustration: beautiful handloom work from Tamil Nadu’s weaving clusters was reaching customers through so many middlemen that neither the weaver nor the buyer got a fair deal.

We buy directly from weaver families in Kanchipuram, Arani and Salem, pay before the loom starts, and sell without a showroom markup. Every saree carries a Silk Mark certificate. Every scrunchie is cut from the same mulberry silk as our sarees — nothing is filler.
